My Baby

Executive Office - our design

My work = my baby

I put a lot of sweat and tears (blood nalang kulang) into our company and although the work pace is wiiilllld, we’ve grown very well in the last year. We actually broke even in a year, and got a couple interesting and “name” projects. Not bad at all.

We’ve got a really casual work environment, and more often than not I am in shorts and a shirt, or gym clothes when I am in the office (we have suits and similar clothing hanging here for meetings). We’ve got pets. We eat well, because thats the least we can do when we’re bugbog sarado with OT. I don’t believe in counting pennies when it comes to our employees comfort. We dont count hours, only tasks. There’s no “ma’am / sir” in this part of town.

The work is hard, for sure. But we’re good, and dedicated, and most importantly - we love our work.

Photohosting Quandary

Nyarrrr! Photobucket has limited the amount of pictures you can store in your account and I’ve gone over the max limit. They’ve now got premium (paid) accounts for added storage.

I’ve been considering getting either a PBase or Smugmug photohosting account, and have been reading reviews on both in the last couple of days.

I am leaning towards Smugmug and have signed up for a free trial. The clinchers were (1) unlimited photo storage, (2) supposed great customer support, and (3) the ability to upload 100MB in one hit.

Hmmm, am wondering if I made the right decision…

So Tired

I think all the work in the last month is beginning to take its toll on me. I am beginning to misspell words in my emails, forget names, directions, etc etc. Generally becoming dumb and dumber.Still, work is doing very well, and I am really looking forward to when our projects hit site so I can ease off a bit.

The 2 new guys at the office seem competent and they’re very nice and funny. We’ve roadtested one of them with an all-nighter, and although he looked like he was ready to drop into a coma he valiantly kept his eyes open and finished his part of the work. Give the boy a hand :D

Wowowee!

Jo just called at 3AM and told me of a great deal for a notebook PC.

Fickleminded

Red Star by Stuntkid

Church - check
We are now getting married at the INC Pandacan locale. I’ve never been there but will be attending services there soon to have a look

3logy downpayment - check
I think Bong, CJ, and Chug were expecting a pre-prod meeting for the AVP as well, but I’ve been frazzled all month and couldn’t even avoid phone calls for work during the meeting. Oh well, I’ll leave the main storyboard to Joey.

Dress - I am having urges to change my gown. Feck! Not good to get fickle-minded about this but I keep thinking I better wear exactly what I want because I will only be getting married once. Now if only I could figure out what I wanted.

Those have been my achievements for September - October. Not much, but I will try to catch up before the year ends.

Fingers crossed.

Lessons from an Idol

Jasmine Trias

From an interview published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer

The worst thing that ever happened to me was: that I lost my shoe on stage during a concert. So I had on one shoe when I was performing.

And what this taught me was: to strap your shoes on tighter.

Wiblink

Now that we’ve got 10 office cats we buy cat food and kitty litter by the large sacks. Painful on the pocket, but I can’t imagine not having them around.

Break

Mai in South America

Ahhhh. Still on a hiatus from wedding preps. Work has been totally crazy, and I’ve been struggling to catch up.

The good news:
We’ll be working on 3 new projects.
We’ve finally interviewed potential employees - and shortlisted 2 (actually I am thinking of hiring them both)

Erika, Aeroin, Roberta and I also got to visit Enchanted Kingdom (ok I admit, the pic wasn’t taken on a trip to visit Maya ruins - this is actually a fiberglass statue beside the hotdog stand). It was fun! I’m a real sissy when it comes to rides so we mostly went on the kiddie ones. We also did the Log Jam which totally freaked me out I could feel my uvula shaking as I screamed :(

Still, it was great to have a day away from work. And I had caramel apples, hotdog-on-a-stick, coffee shakes, barbecues, and!!!! I found Hershey’s S’mores bars in the Select on the way to Laguna. :D
