I have a 3 month old puppy that was given to me. Breed: unknown. He's been itching and uncomfy for 3 weeks now. he can't even sleep properly. his body have cuts and sore. I took him to the vet but the doctor just keep on telling me that he might have allergies but doesnt know what causes the allergy. I've been through forum and reading about dogs with itchy skin. Most people says..the ingredients in dog food. Got him dog food from manila that is sweet potato based. He still keep on itching. I put tea tree oil to relieve the itch but it doesnt last long. i give him omega 3 oil 2x a day. still, no diagnosis in the offing. I feel really bad for my baby and i just dont know what to do. Met 3 vets and they seem to have no idea what's going on with my him. Can anybody recommend a good vet in davao city?

I wish I searched on the internet first. We had been bringing our German shepherd there for treatment. She just had babies so she was getting infections from the fleas. We had one puppy die from what we suspect is dehydration, common for puppies. They recommended that we confine the other 2 puppies with them. After a few days we had to call them to check how the puppies were. They claimed the puppies died the previous day! They didn't even bother to call us! They also claimed that they died from heartworm, which they supposedly got from the mother. Later we found on the internet that heartworms take 3-6 months to hatch, so no way that the puppies died from it. Also, we brought the mother to Petcare (another vet in Cainta), no heartworm at all! When we went to the vet, they were not able to show us the puppy bodies. And yet, they asked us to pay 5k for the confinement fees and drugs! We have 9 cats all in all. 4 males have been spayed/ligated but the nearest animal clinic in our place that time is the CHI ANIMAL CLINIC in pasig and it's very expensive there! It will cost you around 1500 per male cat with medicines and 3000 per female cat. The worst is - some of the doctors bill you more than others. For instance the first 3 male cats just cost us around 4500 (1500x3) but by the time we get back for the another male cat to be ligated - they charged us 1500 + 500 worth of medicines. Worst, supposedly the appointment for the stitches of the cat is free but for the last one - they also charged us additional 500 just for 5min!!! We will never go back to that animal clinic again!!! Plus a friend of mine told me she had her female and male cats spayed for only P400 each! We are from La Union and about two weeks ago, we took our 2 chow chows to their hospital. One is sick with growth on his butt and it had been bleeding for more than a month. We also took his twin brother as support and our veterinarian in La Union. WHen we arrived, the staff and Dr Enrique Carlos are already waiting for us. Our dog was checked immediately and since our dog is 12 years old, surgery was not recommended. Dr Carlos made another suggestion and it was done immediately the following day and he was with us all through out the treatment. WE were able to go back to La Union on same day. After four days, Dr Enrique Carlos called us in La Union checking on the status of our dog. He is really a very caring veterinarian. He made a follow up call even if it is long distance. That TLC is seldom done by most practicing doctors. He gave us the time and explanation on what is going on. Hope we have more vets like him. His staff are also exceptionally good.
